We pride ourselves on our friendly welcome at Great Ayton Tennis Club, so yes, please do come down and introduce yourself on one of our club nights and play! The first time you will be our guest and then you can come as a visitor on the second and third occasions. If you then join the £5 / visit visitors fees will be refunded.
Are there any tournaments?
We hold a range of tournaments suitable for all ages and abilities, check out the Activities page and “Events page”.
Are dogs allowed on site?
Yes, we welcome lovely, well-behaved dogs to Great Ayton Tennis Club.
Are there social events?
We hold many social events at Great Ayton Tennis Club. For example, we organise various format Tournaments, Strawberry Teas, a regular pub quiz.
Can I hire out the clubhouse for private use?
Yes! For as little as £25 you can hire out the lovely clubhouse. It has been used for birthday parties. For an additional £20 you could have one of our brilliant coaches to give your private group some fun tennis drills.
What night is club night?
Club nights for members takes place on Tuesday and Friday evenings.
The time of club night varies depending on the time of the year but members arrive from 5pm onwards.
How much it costs to hire a court?
The cost to hire the courts depends on the time of day an which courts. Using Courts 4 and 5 are generally lower cost and have better availability than the Courts 1 to 3. See the new booking system.
