Cardio Tennis

On Saturday mornings there are very popular energetic cardio tennis sessions with Nic Weschenfelder from 9am until 11 am. Cardio Tennis is fun and sociable group fitness class set to music on our courts. A workout suitable for all ages and abilities and is for anyone who wants to get fit and have a go at tennis. The class moves along quickly, so no one will be judging your skills, and it doesn’t matter whether the ball goes in or out. Do I need to be fit? – No! Cardio Tennis is for anyone who wants to have fun getting fit.

Our Instructor, Nic Weschenfelder, will have you hitting lots of tennis balls during your class and you’ll have a great cardio workout at the same time!

Contact Nic or the Club if you are interested in cardio tennis.

What should I expect from Cardio tennis?

  • Warm up – stretching, skills and drills to get your body warm
  • Aerobic section – forehands, backhands, serves and volleys all mixed with a variety of fitness activities
  • Tennis section – fun tennis games with team mates
  • Cool down – time to recover and stretch

Do I need to be a Member?

No, Nic provides classes on a pay and play basis. But we hope you will get a taste for tennis and join and we have coaches if you want to learn more and increase your enjoyment and skills.

What else do I need to know?

Bring along your own racket if you have one, if not don’t worry as you can borrow one from the Club. Wear comfortable gym kit and non-marking tennis shoes. You’ll be working up a sweat, so don’t forget to bring a water bottle too! Take the empty bottle home with you as we don’t have a recycling collection.
