In 2018 she spent a year in America coaching tennis in Northern California before returning to complete her Level 4. Jennifer has lots of experience working with juniors and adults, and has been involved with disability tennis for 4 years leading many of their initiatives. She is passionate about coaching and encourages everyone who is interested in learning to play to take part!

Thursday Morning Drop In Sessions & Classes

Jennifer will be introducing Thursday morning drop-in sessions open for all members and non-members and also new cardio and walking tennis classes, starting 1st April 2021.

Walking Tennis

Walking tennis is ideal for those who have never played the sport before and is also perfect for those with disabilities. Players are required to walk, not run and there are 2 bounces instead of 1. It’s low pressure and focuses on the social aspect of tennis where you can come along and play and meet like minded people. There are currently Thursday morning sessions with afternoon sessions to be introduced soon due to popular demand.

The following information on disability tennis is taken from the Tennis Foundation website:

“Disability tennis is simply the general term we use to describe the various versions of tennis that are on offer for disabled people to have fun playing … The most well-known versions are deaf, learning disability, wheelchair and visually impaired tennis but the sport is adaptable to a wide range of disabilities”.
